NEW YORK – In real estate, there are different hallmarks of success from the number of homes sold to the positive impact a firm has on its community. Creating a successful business includes focusing on best practices and philosophies, broker-owner Tania Moore said in Inman.
The first step for real estate professionals is to remain authentic and create connections with clients and the community, Moore said. A successful real estate business depends on loyal and trusted relationships. Understanding that people are not just data points and listening to their needs, challenges and desires is an important part of building relationship.
Open and honest communication enables potential clients understand the market and their own limitations, she added. Present market trends in a people-first way to demonstrate what the numbers mean for each client and their buying goals.
Also, build a business with a diversity of knowledge and perspectives, which will allow the firm to attract potential buyers and sellers from all walks of life. Remember, everyone needs a place to call home.
Finally, become a life-long learner to open new opportunities for the firm, team, and clients.
